Stitches and Craft Show 2009 -
It's been an amazing four days at the Stitches and Craft Show Melbourne. There is only one more day to go. My feet are sore, my throat is sore (from way too much talking) and everything else is getting sore too! But I have had the time of my life.
I have met the most amazing people at this year's show and I thank everyone who has come by our stand, (Audrey & Maude) , to say hello and have a chat. The response to the Show has been amazing. Your stories have been amazing.
I have taught sewing workshops to the most wonderful and inspiring women and the the loveliest of children who are our next generation of sewers. Thank you so much for attending my Workshops - I have loved meeting every single one of you and I hope that you have been able to learn from some of my ramblings!
The Living Creatively Team have done a wonderful job of this years Show. The displays by Mel, at Living Creatively have been so AWESOME! I am going to take photos tomorrow so I can show all of you the wonderful talent that these people have!
I am so tired that I am going to bed now, but I will leave you with some photos of some of the wonderful bloggers in the Incubator area of the Show. This bunch of girls (and guys) have inspired me so much.
If you are in Melbourne and can get in tomorrow - it is certainly worth it. The Craft Bars at the Show have to be seen to be believed. You can sit at a bar, read a menu (of things you can learn to make) and then make it with some help from the people behind the bar. At the sewing bar they are using genuine Liberty of London fabric to make the most divine little brooches! ALL FOR FREE!!! There is a knitting bar, stitchery bar, and a box making bar as well.
This year's show is certainly value for money, so if you can make it in - it will be well worth your while.
Here are a few of the amazing people I have met - more photos next post!

Two Cheese Please
Leni & Rose

Lovely to catch up today.
Now, go get some rest.
Andi :-)
Not sure what the problem is, but your links aren't working for me.
I hope you guys did really well at the show. It looks like everyone had a ball regardless!
It is a really super show that's for sure. It was so lovely to meet you on Wednesday and to see Louise again. I'm very pleased to be able to tell you that I have made a start on the Two Square quilt. The instructions are brilliant ... making my first block wasn't half as scary as I first imagined!
Good luck for your last day of the show!
Wow Cathy -- it all looks so fun! I'd love to go to a show that had all those "bars"! Can't wait for more pics (and hopefully one of the Audrey and Maude booth???)

I think your photo of Jodie is my fave. You've captured her perfectly!! Thankyou for sharing the show from one of us who couldn't get there. Much appreciated!
Thanks so much for all your lovely hard work and for being just generally BRILLIANT!!! I have had an amazing, inspiring, entertaining, profitable and exhausting time!! And it was worth every bit of hard work. A big kiss to you - have an early night and I'll catch up this week!
So lovely to have met you and Louise. Thank you for your kindness, encouragement and advice. You and Louise's neighbourly-ness played a big part in making the show so much fun!
Love the pic of Jodie :-)
It was so lovely to chat at dinner and at the show, and I'm certain that we will meet up again and talk all things crafty and many other things as well. You did a great job, and your blog post is a terrific round up.
It was lovely to meet you and I hope to see you again soon :-) Well done at the show.
Oh Man, and here I was trying to convince people I am normal - you have just shattered that whole "calm poised librarian" thing I have been working on....

Great round-up and fabulous pics!! (It looks like you have to go though and take the "blogger/" out of your links....).
Wonderful - as always - to see you and Louise and all your gorgeous creations!
Aud, just loved it all. Was glad to be part of it.
Cathy Cathy I know you're Cathy not Clare aaggghhh sorry!! Anyways, I've corrected my blog (that'll teach me to multitask!!). Hope the rest of the show went well for you :)
Hi Cathy, I'm just stopping by to say that I loved this year's show. Meeting you, and some of the other bloggers, last Friday was a real highlight. Thanks for the chat about crafting on the "north-side". I came home so inspired.
I was there too and had a lovely time - classes, shopping and meeting blogging friends. Sorry I didn't get to say hi - every time I went by, you were all busy.
I did love your stall and your work is beautiful. Hope you had lots of success.
So lovely to meet you the other night, I'm already looking forward to the next get-together.
Hope your husband managed to pick up the kids, hehehe.
P.S. I am practicing my bellydancing moves so as to be able to show marked improvement next year. I take my responsibilities to my fellow bloggers very very seriously.
Everyone's stands look so good. I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed. I'm not if I've got the goods to do Sydney. We must talk soon it's been a while.
