PJ Day

Yesterday I had a sewing class for two 15 year old girls. They made a pair of pj bottoms as their project!

Sarah had never sewn or used a sewing machine before, Holly had used a sewing machine before but had never made any clothing.

Have a look at what they made - very impressive! I had the best day with them - it was just so wonderful to see their enthusiasm and to see the joy on their faces when they tried their pjs on and they liked what they saw!

Too cute!

They want to make tote bags next time .................

Oh my goodness! Can I book in to take one of those classes, like, now? I will book it for the first week I'm back- they are simply marvellous! What gorgeous fabric & style. Have I mentioned you're the best teacher EVER? :-)

You are so generous with your time and knowledge Cathy. Those girls will always remember those first PJs they made... and who taught them.

Hi Cathy
I'm seriously impressed. I was hoping you'd post your sewing day so that I could see the end creations. It was lovely to chat with you the other day.xx

Very cute Cathy! I should do that with my niece -- she's been interested in sewing, but hasn't really had any cute ideas to make. Thanks for the great idea!

That's so cool, Cathy! And a great way to inspire the young newbies.
