Never work with children or animals ...

Planned a lovely little photo shoot today with the lovely little Miss Charlotte Rose in the new 'chocolate lollipop' dress I had made. Charlotte would have to be the most gorgeous little girl, always smiling - never ever hear her crying, in fact, quite the perfect baby - until today - I now do believe the saying ' never work with children or animals'.

She actually did look gorgeous. Unfortunately, she wasn't really in the mood for being photographed. After we got her up from her mid morning nap (too early I think), we changed all her clothes ( a few times) had to match the colours exactly, and of course, she didn't want to know about it. Finally got her dressed but her shoes kept falling off (I don't think this helped her mood one bit). Time to start photographing - we started with my camera - she was posing beautifully - model material - my camera decided to have a flat battery. Great, Charlotte's mum gets her camera out - and this photo is the result. She had had enough. We also had the settings on the camera on something that obviously wasn't automatic. They came out in shades of blue - hence, I have shown it in black and white. Charlotte was actually wearing mauve tights, white shoes (aren't they just so cute), white cardigan, and the chocolate brown cord pinafore with the fabric from 'chocolate lollipop' by Anna Maria Horner. You may notice that she is also wearing a headband in the same fabric.

Later on a I had another go at home working with just the dress and the wall and of course the coathanger. I even tried a different camera - these are the best I have - the colour is all wrong and they just look shocking - sorry. Obviously, was not meant to happen today. Maybe I could start a new saying 'Never work with children, animals, walls or coathangers'!!!!
This is the back of the dress - please note - no zip (as per previous post). Buttons and loops are much quicker and I stay sane.

Oh my that did make me laugh. Sorry, Cathy I'm sure you are frustrated but that's a great shot. Timing is everything and all that. The dress looks fantastic anyway - well done. Yay for no zippers!

Pity you cant bribe them at that age. I have to do a fair bit of bribing for my photo shoots. I too have some bloopers like that. Just as well that dress is so cute
