Our New Baby .....

Today is a day my children will remember forever. They have been begging for a puppy for ages, but I felt that I wasn't yet able to have one and three children as well. Anyway, as they are older now I have felt ready for the next challenge - so today we picked up EllyBell, a gorgeous little girl, and a Cavoodle. Watching the children's faces when they met her for the first time was priceless. It was pure happiness. I am so glad that we waited to get a little puppy, because I think now that they will really love and appreciate her.

Then came the naming bit - one of them wanted Ellie (apparently after a car) and the other wanted Bella. Nobody would give in so we decided to pull the winning name out of the hat. Anyway, Ellie won but then we all decided that 'EllyBell' sounded so good, she could have both names.

Isn't she just beautiful - I am really looking forward to this next part of my life and letting the children take some of lifes responsibilities (eg. pooper scooping). They will be signing contracts tomorrow along those lines.

By the way, the stuff smeared all over Lachie's face is raspberry jam, which EllyBell enjoyed immensely.

Do pups sleep all night, I wonder?

OH. HOW. CUTE!!! Your lucky little family. Who doesn't love a new puppy. And by now you're probably finding out about a puppy and sleeping all night. LOL. We'll expect an update tomorrow. I loved your first line -- so, so true.

Such a cute pup! Aren't pets wonderful? I still call our Jasper a puppy because he'll forever be cute and small, even though he's already about ten years old. Great that you're getting your boys schooled in the responsibilities of having a pet. They're gonna be doing it for a long while, so better to learn early.

I don't know whose face is cuter, Lachie or EllyBell's. Enjoy the puppy stage.

So cute, we've got a curly coated retriever x poodle called Noodle. She is the most affectionate dog and loves being just one of family. We got her when my youngest was 6 mths and I do admit it was a little more than I needed at that time. It's great now, as the two of them have grown up together. Abbey and Noodle are both three. But I really did have two babies for a while there!
