How to Solve the 'what's for dinner' problem ...

Just thought I would share one of my favourite websites with you. It has been my absolute saviour on quite a few occasions now.

I am just so hopeless and can never really plan anything ahead especially things like meals. The first thing the boys say when they come in from school is 'What's for dinner, Mum?". At this stage I haven't even thought about dinner, coz I am so busy sewing or blogging (much more important things than thinking about the dinner menu). So then the panic sets in wondering what in the world will I do with a fridge full of 'penicillan experiments' and four hungry males to feed. So now, I just log onto here and type in one or two of the ingredients that haven't yet turned into the experiment, hit the search button and lo and behold, all of these wonderful recipes come out.

They are all from the magazines Delicious, Good Taste, Food Ideas, Fresh (there could be more titles) so it is from a good range of mags. Click onto the one that takes your fancy, then hit print. Instant Menu!!!!

So now there shouldn't be any excuses for not having any ideas for dinner!!!!!!!!

Enjoy

Hello, always lovely to meet a mother who loves her teenagers. I'm not there yet, eldest of our clan is 8, but with 19 nieces & nephews, we have plenty of teens to give us a clue. I celebrate our eldest's birthday with the day i became a mother too. I always thought i'd have boys, alas, after 3 daughters i was getting anxious, my husband was freaking out. Our number 4 is a boy & he's just gorgeous!! Your work is beautiful, i think i came across you a while back with aprons?? Also love the swing tags, you're just a fantastic package aren't you?? Oh, my trick with 2 businesses, a husband who is usually away & 4 young children who lucky eat anything but are always starving - the CSIRO diet, it tells you what to eat all day, so good for us stay at home mummies who can find lunchtime alone soooo boring. Tally ho for now, love Posie

What a great idea, Cathy! Thanks so much for putting me onto this site & the thing about typing the actual ingredients in, genius.....the number of times I've been stumped with what to do with just ginger and zucchini is way too much. Its just easier to call the geezer to get thai takeaway on his way home from work. This will make my like heaps better! :-)

What is your favorite site for meals ideas? For some reason, my computer wouldn't link with the site. Love reading your blog. MaryAnn, from Pennsylvania, UA

Thanks for that link, Cathy! I always need help in the food planning department too. Another site that I just discovered is http://dinnerdaily.blogspot.com/ by Liesl (Jorth), she posts yummy and healthy recipes there.

I think this must be the best link I have in my favourites. I HATE thinking what to cook and Taste has saved my family on numerous occassions.
