new toy

I have had a lovely week - I have bought myself a new camera - one that I have been coveting for quite a while - a digital SLR.

There is so much to learn with a new camera - and so much that it can do. So I thought I would post a few photos that I have taken this week.

Let me know what you think and if you have any wonderful tips for me.

I haven't yet touched any of these photos.

Seems to me that you've got the hang of that camera pretty darn well!
I love photos where something in the foreground is in sharp focus and the rest is much softer. I'm sure there's a technical term, but you know what I mean.

Hi Cathy,
Yes back at ww and going strong so far. Well done on your loss of 12kg, you have done a great job and I am sure you will lose the last 5kg.
I love your green cot quilt, I love sewing and craft but unfortunaly a 4yr old and teething 1 yr old dont leave much time. One day, also love the fabric little girl cushion.

Cheers

Oooh, you are going to have fun, aren't you? You can't just tell us you bought a new camera and not give the details - us bloggers want to know all that stuff....I want lens details too.

The photos looks great. I am enjoying my Kitchen Aid, I got the Pistachio and it is perfect. Your meringues were the first thing I made.
