Uptown Girl

Uptown Girl Jacket (reversible)

Last week I made this gorgeous pattern from Make it Perfect.

Uptown Girl Jacket (reversible)

This would have to be one of the easiest patterns I have ever made. A very well written pattern - so easy and straightforward.

Uptown Girl Jacket

I used a gorgeous weight Japanese cord for the outside and then for the inside (it's totally reversible) a Japanese polka dot in pink. (all fabric from here). Pellon is used for the padding. Keely is the lovely little model - she is wearing a Size 2 and she is actually 4 - that's why the sleeves are a little short. I made this jacket for my niece who lives in the US so it will be on it's way very soon to her.

Uptown Girl Jacket (reversible)

The lovely photography is by Amy Oliver, a Melbourne girl who is just starting out in photography. You can contact her either through me or at 'amyoliverphotography(at)live(dot)com

I love this pattern too and your version is so sweet (as is your model!) Do you think it is achievable for someone with no clothes making experience? I am about to give the Make it Perfect wrap skirt a go, fingers crossed!

So excited to have come accross this. I bought that pattern a few months ago and it has sat on my 'to make' pile since then. I'm going to pull it out and have a go. Yours looks great, the fabrics are perfect.
